It may sound weird to some that what on the earth an Android workshop is doing in Pakistan but that the truth is that this South Asian country is often misunderstood by people in the west. Sure, there happens terrorist activities every now and then but this doesn’t mean that it’s a country of caves. Pakistan has progressed tremendously in IT and Telecom over the last few years and it should be of no surprise if Google is going to held its Android workshop in Lahore, Pakistan.
The said workshop will be held at LUMS, one of the prestigious institutions of Pakistan, on 17th January 2009. The workshop is aimed to provide an introduction of Android applications using SDK and developers tools. One of the software from Google, Omar Shakil will speak about building Android application and various features of Android application framework. Moreover, there’ll be HTC G1 live demo, API demos and of course a Q&A session.
