About two and half months back, there was a deal between Verizon and Google about Google Mobile search working on Verizon phones. After that deal, everyone thought that we might have an Android-based Verizon phone soon in the market. But this is not the case, sadly. Microsoft, which sees Google’s Android as a potential threat (although they never admitted it openly), is now trying to steal the deal from Google.
There are news that Microsoft is trying to entice Verizon with a higher-guaranteed-payments deal and so far Verizone has looked inclined towards Microsoft. So if Microsoft and Verizone finalize their deal, there are very good chances that we never see an Android-powered Verizone mobile. Sad!

HKC Pearl is a cool looking smartphone which would be running Android most probably.

Verizon not using Google search. Who cares. Big deal. Great FUD. Looking forward to dropping Verizon in the spring. Microsoft should buy BlackBerry and Yahoo and finally get into the big boy game.
