Enthusiastic developers would be able to add their applications in Android Market from Monday. Presently, there are about 50 Android applications and one should expect a steep rise in the number when the Market would be opened for all developers.

Registration process requires a fee of US$25. The fee would be used for developer’s authentication process. Once a developer is authenticated, he can upload his application to the market. The registration fee is one-time fee, if a registered developer wants to upload any further applications in future, he won’t need to be validated again.

Android Market application submission process is bit different from iPhone’s App Store in sense that it doesn’t have a approval process. Once a developer’s registration process is completed, he can put his application on offer at Android Market without any further wait or delay.

Currently, Android applications are available free-of-cost but from first quarter of 2009, developers would be able to make money from their apps. The developers would get 70% of the revenue generated from every sale. Remaining 30% would go to the carriers and billing settlements and Google won’t get a nickel.
